This Disclaimer applies to AlertRoster — the applications, the hosted service, and the receiver hardware channel — and supplements the Terms of Service and the End User License Agreement.
Not an emergency service
AlertRoster is a call-out notification and escalation tool. It notifies people who have agreed in advance to be notified, and records what happened. It is not an emergency service and does not contact one on your behalf. It is not a fire alarm, a security alarm, or an alarm monitoring service, and it holds no life-safety certification. It is not a replacement for your team's official paging arrangements, and it should not be the only way a call-out can reach your people.
Delivery is best-effort
Alerts travel over infrastructure outside our control: Apple's push notification service, carrier and internet networks, your own network and devices, and your on-premise hardware. Device settings — Do Not Disturb, Focus modes, silent mode, notification permissions, low power mode — can suppress or delay an alert. The critical-alert capability on iOS, where available, requires an Apple entitlement and your explicit authorization; where it is not available, alerts are delivered as high-priority time-sensitive notifications, which do not bypass all device silencing. We make no representation that any alert will arrive, arrive within any period of time, or override any device setting.
Hardware and physical alerting
AlertRoster software can command receiver hardware that drives physical outputs — relays, sirens, strobes, and similar equipment. We supply software: we do not manufacture, install, or maintain the hardware, and we do not certify it to any standard. A horn or strobe driven by AlertRoster is not a fire alarm, a security alarm, or an alarm monitoring service, no matter where or how it is installed. An output may activate, fail to activate, or activate at the wrong time. If hardware was sourced or installed for you by a reseller or integrator, that relationship — and any warranty it carries — sits with them, not with us.

The applications and this website depend on, and may link to, third-party services and content we do not control and do not endorse. Their availability, accuracy, and terms are theirs, not ours.
Errors and omissions
Documentation, status information, and other content are provided in good faith but may contain errors or become out of date, and we may correct or update them at any time. Nothing we publish is professional advice — including legal, regulatory, or safety advice. Consult a qualified professional about the requirements that apply to your premises and your jurisdiction.
